Taxonomical Classification of Science Policy

This project proposes to create a new classification system for science policy.

Duke War Memorials

This completed project sought to update the War Memorials on the campus of Duke University in order to honor those alums who lost their lives while on active duty in the military.  A two-year process of searching records databases produced a list of individuals whose names were enshrined in plaques on a retaining wall in Memorial Court next to the Duke Chapel in fall of 2009.  Secretary of the US Dept. of Veterans Affairs - Gen. Eric Shinseki - presided over a ceremony dedicating the plaques.

KinImmerse is a piece of visualization software created in collaboration with David J. Zielinski at Duke University to visualize macromolecules (DNA, RNA, Protein) in the Duke Immersive Virtual Environment (DiVE).  The DiVE is a 6-sided, fully-enclosed, virtual reality facility in the Pratt School of Engineering at Duke University.  A paper describing this work was published in February of 2009.  (KinImmerse Paper)

MolProbity is a web-service for analyzing and validating the 3D structures of macromolecules (DNA, RNA, Protein) - (MolProbity Website).  Part of my dissertation research focused on creating the analysis and validation capability in MolProbity for 3D structure ensembles of macromolecules determined by Nuclear Magnetic Resonance spectroscopy (NMR).
